How to Make Lipstick from your Eyeshadow!

November 5, 2015

Have you ever wanted that one shade of lipstick that seems impossible to find? Have you browsed The Lipcote Lipstick Finder, but still no luck? Can you not afford to buy more but really enjoy changing up your lip colour? Look no further; we have a super simple, wonderful little tip to help you to achieve any shade of lippy you feel like, using nothing except eyeshadow, a little lip balm and Lipcote.

Step 1:

Go straight in with your lip balm, and apply an even coat all over your lips. This helps the eyeshadow to stay in place, as well making your lips soft and nourished. We recommend a less oily, yet still moisturising type of balm, to ensure that the colour sets, such as Carmex.

Step 2:

Create the colour you want your lips to be. You will need an eyeshadow palette containing it, but don’t forget that by mixing different shadows together, you can come up with some super exciting colours! You could even experiment with a gradient lip which is surprisingly easy to create with eyeshadow.

Take a generous amount and using either your finger or an eyeshadow brush that you don’t mind getting balmy, put it directly on to your lips, making sure to spread the colour evenly. If it isn’t bold enough for you, apply another layer until you reach your desired opacity.

Step 3:

Put on your Lipcote in the usual way to keep your new colour smudge free and perfect!

Step 4:

Show off your new pout! Nobody has lips as individual as yours!

This trick is perfect for fancy dress costumes, testing out how different shades look on you, or even for everyday use to compliment your whole makeup look, and with Lipcote your new lip colour will stay fabulous all day! X
