Lipstick Queen is the brand from Poppy King, an Australian makeup artist with a passion for lipstick. She’s inspired by all things vintage, so with her priorities looking a lot like our own (lipstick and vintage!) we thought it was high time we test out one of her famous Sinner lipsticks…

We chose the shade Coral Sinner. The Sinner line is a complete range of matte, highly pigmented lipsticks, whilst the Saint line is the opposite – sheer, moisturising formulas. Coral Sinner isn’t your typical coral; it’s not particularly bright, and although we were disappointed by this at first, we’ve actually come to really appreciate the warm pinky-nude that this shade provides! It’s perfect for anyone who has slightly blue undertones in their lips, as the formula is opaque and creamy enough to override those with the gorgeous warmer base colour, but as it’s more of a natural shade than we were expecting, it’s really easy to wear, and applied with a light hand it can look like you’ve not really got any lipstick on, just lovely coloured lips! We’d recommend wearing this shade with a bronze-brown smoky eye to bring out both lips and eyes equally. And the lasting power is immense – applied in the morning with a slick of Lipcote over the top, it lasted us all day through lots of chatting, lunch and well into the evening!

All in all we have to say that this lippie turned out to be a nice surprise, and we’ll definitely be turning to it the next time we feel like a my-lips-but-better look! As always, don’t forget to enter our giveaway over on the app on our Facebook page to be in with a chance of winning it, plus a Lipcote!
