Armani calls their Lip Maestro’s the ‘next generation of lip colour’, and with all the new liquid lipstick formulas about at the moment we think they might just be onto something…

Lip Maestro in 504 is a vivid fuchsia red-pink. The texture of this liquid lipstick is heavenly; smooth, silky, almost like a silicone facial primer (and interestingly, a type of silicone – dimethicone – is the first ingredient) and light as air to apply. It glides on with a sponge doe-foot applicator, as do many of the other liquid lipsticks that we’ve tried, and as long as you’re careful you can get a good, precise outline with this. The texture of this one is so buttery it’s really unlike anything else we’ve seen. You can hardly feel it on your lips, and after blotting it dries down to a rich matte finish, almost like a stain. The pigmentation is particularly intense, and it requires only one layer for full colour payoff, perhaps two if you really go to town with your blotting! Lipcote sits perfectly over the top to seal it, and even after a day’s wear, a night out, and ahem, falling asleep with all our makeup on (which by the way, we do not advocate!), this was still absolutely perfect!

Overall we couldn’t be more impressed with this lippie, and it’s totally earned it’s place in our lipsticks-we-use-every-day collection, which is mighty hard to get into! As usual, to win it plus a Lipcote, enter via the Competitions App on our Facebook page!
