Topshop once again bring a new offering of lipstick shades to the table! We love how every time we go to Toppers we find a bevy of new and gorgeous colours to try, so here we are testing another one for you…

Inhibition is not your typical summer lipstick choice! Described on the Topshop website as ‘dark plum’ it’s a deep purple-red colour. In the bullet it looks very dark and slightly muddy, but once applied the purple tones really come through and leave you with a lovely bordeaux-plum shade. The cool undertones brighten the complexion and whiten teeth, and it really is a suits-all-skin-tones colour, as the versatility of the shade means that on paler skins it looks cool and vampy, on olive skin tones it’s purple and sophisticated, and on dark skin it’s rich but ultra-wearable. As usual with Topshop, the fragrance is sweet but subtle, and the packaging is the instantly-recognisable striped paper-style casing. We’d recommend wearing it with a little bit of mascara and clean, fresh skin for a statement lip. And it’ll look gorgeous with a tan too!

We really like this lippie, and it’s reminded us why we love Topshop’s makeup range – great on-trend colours, formulas that work, and all at an affordable price! So look out for how to win it plus a bottle of Lipcote on our Facebook page!

Good luck!

Love, Lipcote x
