Brand Name: Illamasqua Lipstick

Colour: Corrupt

Price: £15.50

Lipcote Rating: 4.4 / 5

Illamasqua has emerged in the last few years as the go-to brand for makeup with an edge, whether that’s from colours, quirky products or campaigns. It’s now known for it’s dedication to encouraging self-expression through makeup, and it embraces alternative cultures and takes inspiration from them.

Corrupt is accurately described as a warm bright pink, with a matte finish. It’s a mid-pink shade although not in a subtle way, as it still has as much boldness to it as a fuchsia or scarlet. It can lean slightly purple-y on some skin tones, but overall it’s a bright but pretty pink. The texture is smooth and really comfortable to apply, whilst also being amazingly pigmented – one layer is all you need to get true colour pay-off. It can be a little bit drying, so make sure you exfoliate lips well before applying, and pop on some really good lip balm too. With Lipcote it quite literally lasted us all day and night, and the shade stayed looking really fresh and vibrant. One thing though; don’t be fooled by the image of this lippie, where it looks slightly muted and dusky… it isn’t! It’s bold, bright and chic!

This lipstick has well and truly impressed us! At £15.50 it’s on the more expensive side, but we reckon it’s worth it for the impact it makes. And don’t forget to look out for how to win it plus a bottle of Lipcote on our Facebook page!

Good luck!

Love, Lipcote x
