Soap & Glory have made a huge splash in the beauty world in the last few years, offering great products with fabulously kitsch names and slogans! These matte Powdercoat lipsticks sounded right up our street, so we just had to try them…

We chose the shade Pom Pom, a gorgeous reddish, raspberry pink. It’s the brightest of the bunch, with the other 2 colours available being a nude and a natural pink. It’s a rich berry pink that is deeper than a fuchsia but not dark enough to be vampy, so it’s a really gorgeous lippie to wear for daytime as it’s bold but not too bright. The formula really is velvety matte, with a gorgeously smooth finish, which makes application easy. You get the true colour of the bullet in one swipe (always a good thing!) and it’s very intensely pigmented which makes it feel luxurious and great value. The packaging is typical Soap & Glory – a cutesy pink box with all the 50’s style graphics, and then a sleeker black tube with their logo in pink. We’d recommend wearing it for daytime with a slightly shimmery gold eye, or for night pair it with a gold or copper smokey eye for maximum impact, without looking overdone!

Overall we’re loving this lipstick and the shade and finish is just what we’ve been looking for! Our only gripe would be that we’d love to see this great matte formula in a wider range of shades. As always, look out for our lipstick giveaway over on our Facebook page to see how you can win this lippie and a bottle of Lipcote.

Good luck!

Love, Lipcote x
