The Dolce & Gabbana cosmetics range is an ultimate beauty luxury! Their Classic Cream Lipsticks are one of the most coveted items in the collection, so we just had to try one out especially for Valentine’s…

We chose Ruby, one out of four reds available in this special collection, and the namesake of the range. It’s a slightly cool-toned true red, with a subtle hint of brown, making it the most brick-red shade out of the four, with 2 others being brighter and more orange, and the final one more pink. It has excellent pigmentation and a powdery rose scent, which Dolce & Gabbana say was inspired by the classic femininity and beauty of the 1950’s. The formula is ultra creamy and comfortable, with a satin-matte finish, and although it by no means has any shimmer or frost to it, there’s a radiance that makes it very flattering on the skin, as well as meaning that it’s slightly easier to pull-off than a velvety matte texture. It’s encased, in true D&G opulent style, in a gold tube with a faux ruby in the top of the lid, giving all the glam and seduction you expect from this brand!

This is also the lipstick that illustrator-extraordinaire, Charlie Herman, used to create our ‘Share love not lipstick’ Valentine’s print, for our partnership with Style for Stroke and The Stroke Association. And it’s up for grabs in our Valentine’s giveaway on our blog, so enter quick to win this, Lipcote, choccies and more! X

Love, Lipcote x
