Style for Stroke Partnership

November 4, 2015

We’re very proud to be supporting the Stroke Association and Style for Stroke initiative this Valentine’s by donating 10% of the profits from every bottle of Lipcote sold from 14th February, for one month.
Our affiliation to the cause stems from the launch of the Style for Stroke initiative, spearheaded by Fashion and Style PR expert, Founder of Eden Cancan and longstanding supporter of the Stroke Association, Nick Ede. As friends of Nick Ede, we were delighted to come on board as a sponsor for the launch event in October 2012.
To continue to support the cause, we’re donating 10% of profits from all bottle sales from 14th February for a month, helping to raise awareness and support for stroke survivors with communication difficulties (known as aphasia), who may be unable to say those three special words, “I Love You”, on the most romantic day of the year.
Jim Swindells, Head of Fundraising, Stroke Association says, “We are delighted that Lipcote has joined the Style for Stroke movement. One third of stroke survivors, that’s about 33,000 adults every year in the UK, have communication difficulties, which can affect the ability to read, write, speak and understand. We believe in life after stroke and all money raised makes a big difference in helping us to support people to make the best recovery from stroke that they can.”
We held the event to launch our partnership at the Painted Lady salon in Shoreditch on Tuesday 5th February. The prosecco was flowing, although glass bottles of coke with straws were also popular with the retro-cool crowd, and our guests included Zoe Hardman, Lilah Parsons, Henry Conway, Meryl Fernandes, and guest of honour Sarah Scott, the young stroke survivor from Channel 4′s ‘The Undateables’. A great night was had by all, and it kicked off in fabulous style our partnership with The Stroke Association, who we’ll hopefully be supporting for a long time to come.
So now, here’s our call to action! We’re donating 10% of Lipcote profits for one month, starting yesterday, to The Stroke Association, and we want to raise as much as possible, so if you’re in need of a stock up on yours, or you’re going to run out in a couple of months, don’t wait! Go out and grab it now, and you can know you’ve done your little bit of good too. And for all those buying online from, we’ll be gifting one of our limited edition DJ Nikki Beatnik bags with each sale*, as Nikki is also a massive supporter of the cause.
