Brand Name: Clarins Rouge Prodige Lipstick
Colour: 118 Clementine
Lipcote Rating: 4.2 / 5
Clarins is one of our go-to brands for understated luxury beauty. The Rouge Prodige lipsticks are new to the range in the past couple of years, and with the sleek gold packaging and mouth-watering colours, we just had to road test one for you!
We chose the aptly named Clementine, a bright red-orange. The shade is rich and juicy, highly pigmented and a bold, fruity orange, with a hint of red, which makes it easier to wear. The formula is creamy and smooth to apply, and although it’s pigmented like a matte, it has a silky sheen finish to it, which gives lips a healthy glow. It’s lightly scented with a sweet, berry-ish fragrance, but nothing too overpowering, and we found that disappeared over time. We’d recommend wearing this lippie with a touch of bronzer (pink blush is a no-no!) and lashings of mascara for a pretty but modern look. The packaging is Clarins’ usual chic, luxurious style; a minimalist, squared gold tube that lets the lipstick speak for itself.
We’re impressed with this gorgeous lipstick, so much so that it may find a place in our official category of favourite-lippies-to-wear-with-a-tan! And don’t forget to look out for how to win it plus a bottle of Lipcote on our Facebook page!
Love, Lipcote x
