This years Summer makeup has been very exciting, especially for lipstick lovers like us! We have seen pencils, crayons and liquids hitting the shelves, which have been a huge hit for brands and provided us with some of our all time favourite lipsticks. Lets make the most of the corals, fuchsias and oranges before we all fall in love with Autumnal colours that are coming soon. Here is our run down of our five top Summer lipsticks from The Lipcote Lipstick Finder. Whether it’s your last sunny holiday or a British festival, it’s time to put one of these lipsticks to the test, perfect your Summer makeup and make your lips your best accessory. Don’t forget to seal with Lipcote to keep you pout perfect.

The lipstick crayon was a huge hit this year and in our opinion the Relvon Colorburst matte balm really stole the show. ‘Unapologetic’ is the perfect Barbie bright! With a cool mint flavour and a purse friendly price, this is a definite must to add to your collection. It has a twist function, with plenty of colour to use, meaning it will go that extra mile!

Ellis Faas’ Hot Lips collection really blew us away in 2013 and we carried the shade ‘Bright Orange’ right over to this summer. This range isn’t one for the faint hearted and works great with the rest of your Summer makeup against tanned skin. The amazing feature about all Ellis Faas lip products is that they come in pen type packaging so if you are lucky enough to get the full collection you can buy the Ellis Faas holder (in a super cool space age, silver tube might we add), to keep all tidied away. Perfect for your travels!

Estée Lauder is a classic beauty brand and we are huge fans. The new ‘Sculpting lipstick’ Pure Colour Envy range didn’t disappoint. ‘Defiant Coral’ captured moisture and sealed in maximum hydration. With a heavy pigmented yet lightweight texture, it really was a shade with attitude.

The Collection Cosmetics Cream Puff moisturising Lip Cream was a great find and the super cute packaging caught our eye. It is neither a lipstick nor a lip gloss, but a lip cream. It’s buildable in colour meaning you can add layers or keep sheer depending on the occasion. It has a perfect matte finish that will last you all day, layering it up will take you through the night.

Everyone was blogging about Bourjois The Rouge Edition Velvet liquid lipstick this season. We had to choose the hottest pink of the range ‘Ole Flamingo’ to keep up with the Spring/Summer 2014 trends. Teamed with Lipcote we noticed the unbelievable staying power, great for a Summer party or wedding. It is the perfect modern twist on a classic red lip perfect matte finish that will last you all day, layering it up will take you through the night. X
