Burberry is an iconic Brit brand, widely known for its luxury, heritage status in fashion and beyond. And as Lipcote is a Brit brand too, albeit a slightly smaller one, and both brands are loved by the gorgeous Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, we thought it was high-time we put a lippie of theirs to the test!

We decided to test out shade 28, Devon Sunset. It’s a pinky-nude peach, with warm undertones, and is pretty opaque in one coat, although it’s one of those colours that is most flattering when pushed into the lips with a finger, and then sealed with Lipcote (of course) to give a gorgeous stain effect. It’s also a great colour for this time of year, when skin still has a summery glow to it, but tans are fading fast and you’re looking for something to perk up your complexion a bit. The finish is very satiny and smooth, and it has a subtle frosty-shimmer to it, which is mainly invisible, but seems to give an extra radiance to the lips, making it a winner, as ‘radiance’ is THE beauty industry buzz word for this year! The packaging is, as you’d expect, luxury and expensive feeling – a gunmetal case with the Burberry check embossed into it, and a magnetic closure… in fact the Burberry check is even carved into the lipstick itself so there’s no mistaking the branding on this one!

Overall we’re fans of this lippie! It’s great to use a beauty product from such an iconic and classic British brand as Burberry, and although it didn’t make us look exactly like Rosie H-W, we were pretty pleased with our pout! And don’t forget to look out for it in our lipstick giveaway over on our Facebook page right now!

Good luck!

Love, Lipcote x
